Boat finally at the new yard, customs still dragging, and somehow we end up testing a gloriously dodgy kite-cam setup in 35-knot gusts. 😅⛵🪁

In this episode of Sailing into Freedom, I head out to the new factory on the edge of Saigon to check on hull 2 and the long-delayed imported gear that’s still trapped in paperwork limbo. It’s a huge moment seeing the boat in her new home at last – a peaceful, green shipyard surrounded by waterways and rice fields – and knowing the real work can finally restart.

Then things go full Sailing into Freedom: I rig up a homemade kite camera mount, use a bit of beach foam and some quick maths to fix the camera angle, and immediately discover what happens when impatience, gusty wind and bad ideas meet offshore.
