Episode 4 - Zlarin, Rogoznica, Stupin, Vis, Hvar, Brac
31st August we left the marina with our first destination Zlarin Island, we found an Isolated bay on the south end and enjoyed our first night marina free.
From there we went to Rogoznica and spent Fathers Day swimming in the Dragons Eye, walked the Lavender Labyrinth, ice creams at Coco Barocco, and experienced Fish and Chips at the Octopus like we never before. Thunder and lightening was forecast so we moved to Stupin and enjoyed a little bit of beach fun Croatian style. The storm arrived at 3am and it was a goodie!
Sailed to Vis Island and saw 2 dolphins and an Adriatic Sturgeon leaping out of the water (more then once). Anchored in Vis harbour and walked the foreshore around to Kut where Mumma Mia 2 was filmed. In the morning we were visited by Simon a visiting Australian from another boat before heading out to check out the lagoon and the Green Caves. Snorkeled at the lagoon where the viability was amazing but it was thin on sealife. Around to the Green Cave where we chose not to pay to go in. With no good anchorages close we headed for Hvar.
We stopped at Paklinski Island anchoured in a lovely bay and went for a swim. The following day as the forecast was not great we headed for the Marina on Brac. In the Marina we met Elmo's crew Sarah and Mattheais who have been sailing the last couple of years around the med. We walked into Milna and found the best ever wine shop in a cave. A must have stop for anyone in the area.
Still making our way south we left for Luka and arrived after a 5 hour motor sail with the wind changing directions through 180 degrees and changing from 5 to 25 knots and back constantly.
The following day we collected Steve and Hermine (friends from NZ) from Mimice and had a lovely lunch sail up to Omis.
