BOAT LIFE 2020: Isolation in Thailand With Nowhere To Walk (or How To Not Be Bored!) [Ep. 31]

[Nos amis francophones, description en dessous ] Ahh this coronavirus, this isolation. Like most of us, we can’t escape it, so our sailing on board lifestyle is quite different than when we're traveling. Since now 1 month, we’re part of Ao Chalong’s landscape. To walk on land isn’t forbidden (but beaches are closed), but few people have been arrested for almost no reason, so we won’t risk it for hundreds of dollars! Instead, we try to stay in shape by exercising on the deck or in the water. We firmly believe that in those uncertain times, it’s a priority to stay happy, positive and avoid routines that bring boredom. That’s why we take you onboard our sailboat with us today! Between exercising, baking bread, waking up Jo with love with a glass full of water, repairing water maker… and it’s no finish! Hold on tight, because for bringing some fun in our life (and yours) we prepared a SagaWarrior challenge. Run in this small corridor, go out by the window, jump in the water, come back on board without the stairs and go touch the jib, all that the fastest possible… Who’ll be the winner?

Ah cette pandémie, cet isolement. Comme plusieurs, nous ne pouvons pas y échapper, nous et notre bateau en confinement. Depuis maintenant 1 mois, nous faisons partie du paysage de la baie d’Ao Chalong à Phuket. Descendre à terre, bien que les plages soient fermé, n’est pas interdit en tant que tel, mais beaucoup se sont fait arrêter pour des petites histoires, donc nous n’allons pas risquer plusieurs centaines d’euros! Alors, on essaye de se dégourdir les jambes sur le bateau et dans l’eau. Nous avons la ferme conviction qu’en ces temps sombres et incertains, il faut garder sa bonne humeur, son optimisme et éviter la routine qui mène à l’ennui. C’est pourquoi nous vous emmenons sur le bateau avec nous. Entre faire du sport, faire un pain, réveiller Jo avec tendresse avec un verre d’eau, réparer le dessalinisateur… et ce n’est pas fini! Attachez vos ceintures, car pour nous divertir (et par la même occasion vous amuser un peu) nous vous avons préparé un parcours de SagaWarrior, le parcours du combattant. Passer dans le couloir étroit, grimper par le hublot, sauter à l’eau du bimini, remonter sur le pont sans échelle, et aller toucher le génois, le tout en un temps records… Qui sera le plus rapide?
