After sailing to the only marina in Suriname, we had to go through the check in procedure in the capital city of Paramaribo.
We caught a taxi into town and were surprised at all the different religions practised in this country. Once in town, we had to go to the department of health to be screened and cleared, immigration for the E -visas, the Maritime Authority Suriname and finally the military police.
After this we bought some shopping and a sim card to get online.
When we finished in town, we headed back to Waterland Marina Resort to explore the nearby creeks on the kayaks.
Here we found monkeys, birds of prey, one clawed crabs and even a massive tarantula!
