Unlocking Hidden Depths: My Transformative Journey to New Horizons
As I return to my sailboat, named Wahine, a Gib Sea 402, moored in the middle of a deep inlet on the remote island of Amami, I can't help but feel a sense of trepidation. For the first time ever, I feared for her safety as Typhoon Kahnun lingered over the island. While I'm relieved to know that she survived and is still afloat, the true extent of the damage remains unknown. My mother's presence feels palpable as I prepare Wahine for the next leg of my adventure, and I can't help but wonder what she would say if she were here with me today.
