SDA191 Beaches & Dirty Bottoms

In this episode of Sailing Dark Angel, we hike across Stocking Island in search of Bobin’s Bath, on a hidden beach that feels like our own private island. With caves to explore, dramatic rock formations, and zero crowds, it's well worth the trek. Then it’s back to reality (and barnacles) with some underwater hull scraping, powered by a borrowed Blu3 Nomad

*in real time, we've been struck directly by lightning. All of our navigation systems, running, navigation, anchoring and work lights and much of our freezer capacity is badly damaged, as well as keel damage. Lightning exit or bottom strike while we were dragging at over 62 knots, we're not sure.
