Finally Launched the Boat… Then the Engine Alarm Went Off

It’s finally launch day! After nearly a year sitting on land, Nauti Dogs is going back in the water.

Getting the boat launched goes surprisingly smoothly, and for a few minutes it feels great to finally have her floating again. But while moving the boat over to her new slip, the engine alarm suddenly goes off.

With no idea how serious the problem is, I slow everything down and limp the boat to the dock before shutting the engine down to hopefully avoid causing any permanent damage.

After a year of waiting, our return to the water definitely didn’t go quite as planned…
