I left Den Helder (up in the North of The Netherlands) via another route than the one I took to get there. This route would lead me via the Wadden sea, the large lakes, through capital Amsterdam to the anchorage on the Kaag Lake.
In the previous video we saw that the Wadden sea was a piece of cake, but this shallow IJsselmeer had some nasty waves for me. And those wave are exactly the reason why sailor hate this place.

Waarom ik alles in het Engels doe?
Omdat ik bootjes video's kijk van Fransen, Denen, Noren, Spanjaarden, Portugezen, Duitsers én heel veel Engelstaligen die allemaal Engels lullen. Want alleen dan kan je je ervaring wereldwijd delen. En wat blijkt? Mijn video's worden in 127 landen bekeken (zie S03/E01 voor de lijst). Veel van mijn kijkers en abonnees zijn Engelstaligen die mijn video's helemaal top vinden, omdat ze óf familie hebben uit Nederland, of hier jaren geleden zijn geboren en door omstandigheden nu elders op de wereld wonen.
Ik verliet Den Helder via een andere route dan die ik nam om er te komen. Deze route zou me via de Waddenzee, IJssel- en Markermeer, door Amsterdam, brengen naar de ankerplaats aan het Kaagmeer. In de vorige video zagen we dat de Waddenzee een fluitje van een cent was, maar dit ondiepe IJsselmeer had voor mij vervelende golven. En die golven zijn precies de reden waarom zeelieden deze plek haten.
Ga je mee op deze tweede etappe als ik de sluizen van Den Oever verlaat naar een prachtige ankerplaats bij de sluizen van Enkhuizen? Welkom aan boord!
Ook met deze video probeer ik je een idee te geven van hoe het leven aan boord voor mij is en ik hoop dat je ervan geniet of misschien zelfs iets leert. Maar het is gewoon mijn verhaal en de manier waarop ik de dingen doe. Niets meer niets minder.
