LIVING on this REMOTE ATOLL for 60 days in the Philippines 😲 - (Episode 319)
Its our last week in the Philippines, and our buddy boat won't let us leave without trying Balut, which is a fertilized duck egg that has been incubated for 2-3 weeks and then steamed or boiled before eating. The embryo is well developed already, which made it even more disturbing. On a lighter note, the UNESCO world heritage site called Tubbataha reef that we visited had some of the best diving we have done in a while! And the ranger live out there for 60 days at a time, surviving on whatever they bring with them, and are there to protect the site. Very admirable!
SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. They found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across through Asia headed for the Indian Ocean!!
