Our Entire Mast Has To Come Down Because Of This... (Episode 220)

We have an extended episode this week as we have so much to get through! First of all we have to remove the entire mast, which we do on our own without a rigger. Then we have to cut out the compression post and get a new one made. This all came about because we actually found a crack in our rigging a few days before we were meant to cross the Pacific Ocean. They say everything happens for a reason....

SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. We found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are almost ready to cross the Pacific Ocean!!
