Dodging Gales on The Pacific Coast | Sailing Through Storms Along The Inside Passage - Ep. 13
The unsettled spring weather continues as we deal with calm winds one day, followed by gale force the next day. Rainy weather sets in as we head up Princess Royal Channel to avoid some serious storms that produced hurricane force winds not far from where we were. Despite the nearby heavy winds, we experience almost no wind at all within the protected inner channels.
We sail from Calvert Island out into Queens Sound, through Milbanke Sound, and then to Klemtu. This episode concludes at an abandoned fish cannery called Butedale, where 3 days of almost constant rain finally eases.
