Sailing The Inside Passage on a Catalina 27: Part 3 of 4 | Wind, Bergs, and a Stroll on a Glacier
Welcome to part 3 of my 4 part series of Sailing The Inside Passage to Alaska on a Catalina 27!
In this part, we continue north from Petersburg to Glacier Bay AK. Lots of northwest wind had us tacking pretty much all the way north, with a few pretty tough days with near gales. Glacier Bay did not disappoint! We anchored in Reid Inlet for several days, and adventured on the mountains surrounding it, including a stroll on the Reid Glacier, and a great hike to the top of an adjacent 6000 ft ridge!

As I prepare to do this trip again in the summer of 2022, I decided to do a new edit using this old footage from 2011. I have had a fun time splicing it all together, and doing so has got me even more excited for this summer’s trip!
I hope you enjoy the re-edit of my 2011 trip to Alaska! This time, the music is from the free YouTube audio library, which did not exist when I first made a video of this trip a decade ago!
