Ep. 57 #ANCHORAGES of# PARADISE in the #IONION Islands | SV Cordelia
What a beautiful country #Greece is. Greece is set up for cruisers. All the anchorages are #anchorages of #paradise. We are in the #Ionion Islands and most have pontoons that lead to tavernas and in some cases a few pontoons. You can eat your meal, drink your wine and watch your boat in the sunset. If you are #Med-moored, that is tied to the dock from stern or bow lines, most places have electric and water. Mooring like this can be as little as €10 for the night. Most pontoons don't charge you for the berth as long as you use their taverna. All places have large rubbish bin areas so that you can dump your rubbish. There are supermarkets or mini-markets that cater specifically for cruisers, some even deliver to your boat. Eating out though is reasonably inexpensive with a meal for 2 with wine that can be had for €30. Launderettes are the norm in every port. We have even found local people offering a laundry service from their home. We experience all this in the first few weeks of being in Greece, which has fast become a favourite cruising ground of ours.

We are Steve and Annette. We have been together since we were 15years old and believe me that was many years ago. We have 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
We are now a young middle-age couple who want sail the world as far as we can for as long as we can.
Steve used to be a Marina Hoist Operator in charge of yacht lifting operations. He dealt with super yachts, the likes of the J Class yacht's and Oyster Super Yachts, a multitude of other large sailing vessels up to 200tonne as well as the smaller yachts like Cordelia.
Annette was an Operations Manager & Bookkeeper at a marketing company LCM https://www.lcm.co.uk and continues to work part-time.
We had been planning our cruising life for over 10years and finally at the age of 55 decided that the time was right for us to let the lines go and start living our dream.
We love to see new places and enjoy the different cultures of each country.
Our long-term plan is to just enjoy it whilst we can, see as many places as we can and share this dream with those of you who are interested in watching and joining us.
