Forbidden fortress! Waiting to continue sailing the Bay of Biscay we find a hidden secret fort! #10

After our night sailing passage across the English Channel from England to France arriving in the French city of Brest we explore the area while waiting for the weather to cross the mighty Bay of Biscay.

We take a walk in the city and take a peak at the naval base but then are totally blown away by some of the hidden history and forbidden fortresses from Napoleonic times and WW2 on the Roscanvel Peninsula. We hike to a spectacular rocky island fortress at the foot of a cliff called the Îlot des Capucins built initially in 1848 and then use our drone to find a path through dense undergrowth to find a forbidden WW2 fortress!
