We try all sorts of sail configurations to speed up our journey from Martinique to Curaçao which turns out to be much faster than we wanted !
Before we leave, we need to re-provision the boat, fill up with water, fuel and cooking gas but when we get ready to leave the next morning, the auto pilot does not work.
Woody gets that fixed and then we set off. As the wind dies, we hoist our ballooner sail at the front of the boat and manage to drop it again when our angle is taking us too off-course.
This is when we have problems as we forget to complete one task when dropping the sail. This causes more problems than we need and Irenka finds it very difficult to sleep while racing along on the boat, as the wind is picking up and there is no way to reef the boat !
