Atlantic crossing: Not exactly a smooth start... // Atlantic Crossing Daily Vlog #1
The day has finally come: we are about to depart from Cape Verde and cross the Atlantic on our own sailboat!!!
Ryan is more anxious than I’ve ever seen him, and I simply can’t wait to leave the dock. Finally, around noon, we can’t push the moment any further and we untie the lines at Mindelo Marina and give ourselves to the ocean.
We aren’t up to a great start, with some crazy chop and maneuvers gone wrong. But we eventually settle, and at the end of the day, we are officially on our way towards Martinique!
