SDA192 Through the Shallows to the Ragged Islands

In this episode of Sailing Dark Angel, we leave Elizabeth Harbor and set out for the Ragged Islands. We dodge squalls, slip through tight cuts, and flirt with the shallows before arriving at Water Cay, where the real challenge turns out to be anchoring.

*in real time, we've been struck directly by lightning. All of our navigation systems, running, navigation, anchoring and work lights and much of our freezer capacity is badly damaged, as well as keel damage. Lightning exit or bottom strike while we were dragging at over 62 knots, we're not sure.
