SDA204 Spinnakers, Starfish and Stingrays | Sailing the Bahamas
We flew the spinnaker, met stingrays face to face, and even found starfish creeping along the sand.
In this episode of Sailing Dark Angel, we spinnaker sail all the way from Georgetown, Exuma to Rudder Cut Cay, where we spend the day with stingrays gliding around us and starfish creeping across the sandy bottom. Then it is time for a long overdue bottom scrub, with our stingrays friends keeping us company.
⚠️ Lightning Strike Update
In real time, we were directly struck by lightning. Navigation systems, running lights, anchor lights, work lights, a large freezer, and even our keel were damaged. We're still facing VAT, duty, exchange rates, customs brokerage, and a costly haul-out for keel repairs in the Dominican Republic.
