SDA256 Keys to the Deep
There’s a grand piano and a mermaid sitting on the bottom off Rudder Cut Cay, and getting down to see them is a little more work than it looks.
We’re anchored at Rudder Cut Cay, where I dive the Musician, a grand piano with a mermaid at the bench commissioned by David Copperfield to entertain his guests. It’s a beautiful dive, and deep enough to make the first deeper dive of the season a little challenging.
We motor toward one of our favourite anchorages at Big Farmers Cay, passing David Copperfield’s private Musha Cay and Cave Cay along the way. Getting into the anchorage means crossing an extremely shallow bar.
At Big Farmers Cay, we get some beach time and a visit with the turtles.
Diving the underwater Musician sculpture at Rudder Cut Cay, cruising past Musha Cay and Cave Cay, and navigating the shallow approach to Big Farmers Cay in the Exumas.
