200+ miles on our first real passage. Too easy! (Learning By Doing Ep214)
Our first overnight passage on our new Catamaran, Trade Runner. Pittwater south to Eden, NSW is about 240 nautical miles and we picked a pretty mellow wind for this one. There is a good south running current about 15 miles offshore so we sailed out there and stayed in it all the way south. A really smooth sail with some exciting fishing and both of us arrived at our destination feeling pretty good without the "hangover" that we normally get from a passage like this.
