Meet Bruce and Kim, the newest crew to join us aboard Jupiter! We first crossed paths years ago in Panama on a chocolate farm tour (yes, there was chocolate 😄), and now they’re back ready to help us prepare Jupiter for the long journey ahead toward Spain.
In this episode, we walk through what it really means to bring new crew onboard: safety briefings, boatyard hazards, bilge cleaning, corrosion prevention, electrical upgrades, and the realities of working on an aluminum sailing catamaran. From slippery decks and falling risks to sandblasting, lithium battery upgrades, and rebuilding the main electrical board, this is behind-the-scenes sailing life at its most real.
We also talk about crew logistics, limited space, future Atlantic crossing plans, legal considerations, and how different crew members will join us in stages over the next couple of years.
