First Month of Owning Our FIRST SAILBOAT!
WOOHOOOOOOOOOO! We finally got our first sailboat - a 40 foot fin keel sailboat from 1990 designed by Paul Whiting!
Check out this quick summary of our first month of boat ownership. We have a play with the Yanmar 3HM35 marine diesel engine; Conor tricks Kerchmar into taking the dinghy to shore in the rain; Kerchmar has a crawl in the transom/aft lazarette (which one is it???); Pivo freaks out as Kerchmar relaxes in a hammock; and finally we go for a sail and make it up to 7.1 knots in only 10 knots of wind.
Our wonderful Labrador / Swedish Vallhund cross, a.k.a. "Pivo", has a hard time adjusting, but we give her lots of snuggles and treats to help!
