PNW to Los Angeles | Time To ESCAPE The Big City

Welcome to Southern California, and all that comes with it! In this one, we sail from Malibu to Los Angeles, then onto Catalina Island. Fog envelopes us as we ghost along powered by our spinnaker and guided by dolphins. Delighted by the nice coolness the fog brings but carefully scanning ahead in the low visibility, we are surprised to keep coming across balloons floating on the sea surface. We do our best to capture them while limited in maneuverability by the spinnaker.

Once in Marina Del Rey, we negotiate the many watercraft in the harbor and find our slip where we leave Sea Dream of Clyde during a quick trip home to the PNW. Once back, we leave LA (and some goofy college rowers) behind for the peacefulness of Catalina Island.
