Run For Cover! | Small Boat Realities In Baja - Ep. 98

Baja Mexico is an incredible place to sail, but like sailing ground around the world, there are challenges unique to the area. In this episode, we deal with some of those challenges as we try to make it to a favorite anchorage of ours to the north of Loreto. After some "EXTREME LIGHT WIND SAILING TACTICS" we enjoy about half an hour of steady progress before a northerly arrives early bringing stronger than desired winds. With seas building and the night approaching, we run for cover! After nearly sailing into another boat with their anchor light off, we settling in to ride out the 3 day gale at Isla Coronados.
