Problems and failures, sailing a small boat 3000 miles offshore across an ocean as a couple is not easy. We had a roller coaster ride of emotions, after overcoming engine troubles and sailing for 24 hours we eventually had to make the gut wrenching decision to turn around and head back. This is the story of our failed first attempt to cross the Indian Ocean, what should have been the start of a month at sea turned out not to be, find out what caused us to turn back in this episode.

We have been sailing around the world for over 5 years after setting off from England in 2016 on board our 37ft sail boat Florence.
