Ep. 34 - Autopilot Repair & Volvo Penta D2 55 Heat Exchanger Removal
A very technical episode where we dive into the final segment of the Autopilot (Autohelm) repairs for our Raymarine (Raytheon) Type 2 Rotary Drive. We also remove the heat exchangers on our Volvo Penta D2-55 to try to diagnose why we are getting white smoke above 1750 RPMs. We inspect for potential blockage, clean hardened minerals on the tubes, and find some perplexing corrosion where the exhaust elbow attaches.
