Navigating LEAKS + SQUALLS Sailing New Zealand to Australia
Sailing from New Zealand to Australia across the Tasman Sea is never easy — but in winter, it’s a whole new challenge. Massive lows dominate the forecast, winds shift constantly, and almost immediately we discovered our catamaran’s escape hatches are leaking badly.
Before departure, we finished key boat projects, including re-lacing our catamaran trampolines with Dyneema from @sunriseyachtproducts . Then we set sail into one of the most notorious stretches of bluewater, navigating between weather systems while managing repairs at sea. Join us for an offshore sailing adventure!
