Glamping in a Boat and rounding Cape Sata! (solo sailor)
While waiting for the right conditions to round Cape Sata, I moved to Calm Lanai Harbor and enjoyed a few days of convenience and to some measure of luxury ( Toilet and bath only 30 seconds from the dock!). Join me for a tour of Calm Lanai Harbor. Then because of the concern of an overnight passage against the Kuroshio current and around Cape Sata where the waters can be turbulent, I invited Nikolak, an experienced seaman, friend, and someone who knows Wahine well to join me. Also, two of the staff of Calm Lanai Harbor, asked if they could come along for a yachting experience as they are writing their boat exam soon.
Along the way, we were accompanied by a dolphin, spotted wild horses at Cape Toi and stopped at Uchinoura, one of the two rocket launching sites in Japan.
