I've now been to all 47 prefectures in Japan. I'm in Shimane, where Matsue Castle is located, and it's a longevity hotspot - a 'blue zone' with the highest number of centenarians in Japan. I'm here researching a book on longevity for the Never Too Late Academy Longevity Project, and my journey is 'Beyond the Blue Zone: Chasing the Cherry Blossoms Again'. I traveled by sailboat from Okinawa to Kyushu, and now I'm in the second leg of my journey in Shimane, continuing north. I love Japan and traveling slowly through its many wonders and prefectures.
