Ahoy! In this one, we leave Alaska and cross back into Canada. The rightfully feared Dixon Entrance that is exposed to the full brunt of the North Pacific Ocean is gentle on us as we rage across the border and on to Prince Rupert, Canada. While the wind was a bit light at times, we took advantage of the slow sailing and caught a salmon.

Before we leave Alaska, we do an emergency tack to avoid a large commercial fishing boat that had no one on the helm!!!! The fishing boat was coming up our port side while we were under sail, but we when we realized it was not giving way, we jumped into action to avoid the impending collision. The skipper did radio us after to apologize when he realized what he had done!

While it was sad to leave the incredible Alaska behind, it was great to start the new chapter of the trip down the British Columbia coast.
