Sailing The Inside Passage on a Catalina 27: Part 4 of 5 | Night Time Sailing and More Glaciers
Welcome to part 4 of my 5 part series of Sailing The Inside Passage to Alaska on a Catalina 27!
In this part, we get chased out of Reid Inlet in Glacier Bay by a sudden localized gale, and sail through the night to Blue Mouse Cove. We continue to Juneau, then turn south to begin the journey home. Naturally, the wind turns SE as soon as we turn south! We visit Tracey Arm, and enjoy the many icebergs floating about in area. This part wraps up after a rainy trip down Stephans Passage to Portage Inlet near Petersburg Alaska.

As I prepare to do this trip again in the summer of 2022, I decided to do a new edit using this old footage from 2011. I have had a fun time splicing it all together, and doing so has got me even more excited for this summer’s trip!
I hope you enjoy the re-edit of my 2011 trip to Alaska! This time, the music is from the free YouTube audio library, which did not exist when I first made a video of this trip a decade ago!
