Ep. 46 Puppy training on a boat - Replacing Headlining - Work & Play | SV Cordelia
What a change to our lives this last 2 weeks have been. We didn't realise how much we missed having a dog aboard and Gus has been adorable since the day we got him in March.
We start puppy training with Gus, which is never easy on a boat as you don't have the back yard or garden to use. The good thing is though, we live our lives outdoors, which is great for Gus and sharing our outdoor life with him is just amazing. We could do with some toilet training tricks though - that is coming on but very slowly!
We also visit the oldest known mosaics in the world at The Villa Romana del Casale in the heart of Sicily. Taken back in time to when the world was such a simple place to live. The work gone into making such delicate patterns and stories in each of the mosaics was stunning to see.
After several years of having no headlining in our forward berth, we decide on cheaper route that ends up looking superb.
We have 3 weeks at Marina di Ragusa and all of sudden it seems to have gone really quickly. We arrived in mid-October 6 months ago and where we will end up when we leave here is anyones guess.

We are Steve and Annette. We have been together since we were 15years old and believe me that was many years ago. We have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. We are now a young middle-age couple who want sail the world as far as we can for as long as we can.
Steve used to be a Marina Hoist Operator in charge of yacht lifting operations. He dealt with super yachts, the likes of the J Class yacht's and Oyster Super Yachts, a multitude of other large sailing vessels up to 200tonne as well as the smaller yachts like Cordelia.
Annette was an Operations Manager & Bookkeeper at a marketing company LCM https://www.lcm.co.uk and continues to work part-time.
We had been planning our cruising life for over 10years and finally at the age of 55 decided that the time was right for us to let the lines go and start living our dream. We love to see new places and enjoy the different cultures of each country. Our long-term plan is to just enjoy it whilst we can, see as many places as we can and share this dream with those of you who are interested in watching and joining us.
