This is part 3 of the lithium conversion mini series. How to convert a lead acid battery system to Lithium LiFePO4 battery on a sailboat.
Rob finishes the wires with connectors and does a final upgrade to the battery bank at home. Then he installs it in the boat and does some tests.

Stay tuned and subscribe to our channel so you don't miss anything!

In part 1 of this mini series Rob shows you how he converted our lead acid battery bank on Sirius to Lithium - DIY Grade A LiFePO4 conversion. We got a big box delivered at home and Rob is going to unpack and then do some tests before installing the Lithium batteries onto the boat.

In part 2 Rob tells you about the electrical schematic and how to connect the batteries to the converter, charger and more. And then he shows you how he prepares the boat for the batteries by running thick power cables from the battery bank to the engine bay.

======================================================
Hello everyone!
We are Rob and Jouke and together with our boat cat Tijger we love sailing.
In 2013 we bought our first sailboat, a 9 meter kolibri named Sirius, to spend our weekends and holidays.
At first Sirius's home port was Aalsmeer, because we are connected to a sailing club in Aalsmeer and loved to spend our time there.
After a couple of years we wanted to be able to sail on bigger water without the hussle of all the bridges to get there. It was alway such a struggle to wait for bridges and hope to get through to Haarlem or Amsterdam.
So in 2021 we decided to move Sirius to Hellevoetsluis, situated at the beautiful Haringvliet.
The North Sea is only 1 lock away, so a whole new playground is at our disposal.
We envite you to join us on our trips and adventures and explore the beautiful waters of the Netherlands together.
