She's rated for offshore sailing, but can Cadence, our Catalina 387 safely sail in the gulf of mexico from Galveston to Freeport, TX? It's a quick cruise, and it's our first time sailing in the Gulf of Mexico by ourselves.

The total trip took 15 hours from Upper Galveston Bay to Freeport, and it's a total of 40nm from jetty to jetty.
