I can’t go on! Reaching my lowest point! | Between the Rock & a Hard Place pt4 #26

As we continue our sail across the Mediterranean we head south through the Tyrrhenian Sea towards the volcanic islands ahead and the Straits of Messina. The emotional strain of being so long on passage starts to take it’s toll and Iain hits his lowest point and finds himself re-thinking his choices.

Thankfully a surprise new crew member joins us and lifts the mood onboard but then sadly tragedy strikes and our new crew member becomes mysteriously unwell.

We continue on towards the Messina Straits and are treated to blood red skies and sunsets against the stunning backdrop of the volcanic Aeolian Islands before passing safely past the mythical Scylla and Charybdis and into the Adriatic Sea.

Life on board continues and the days roll by until we finally reach Montenegro as dawn appears - 1645 nm and 28 days after leaving Gibraltar we finally step on land and complete our sail across the Mediterranean Sea.
