Shipyard Time! WET SANDING, Propeller Painting, and More! - Ep. 52
It’s haul out time for Sea Dream of Clyde! In this one, we head to Newcastle Marine in Nanaimo to have the boat lifted out of the water and moved into the shipyard for our by-annual painting and general maintenance. I show the wet sanding technique we use that is SO much better than dry sanding, we paint the haul, wax the top side, and paint the propellor.
We get some help waxing the haul from our friends Kevin (who you will see in the upcoming Neah Bay to San Fran videos) and Willow. Kevin also builds a new lid for the diesel day tank box on the deck of Sea Dream, something I had been meaning to do for a long time!
After the weekend out of the water, Sea Dream is relaunched and we head to the Nanaimo Yacht Club to do some more chores as we get set for offshore sailing.
Thanks so much for tuning in!
