GAP year, school/corporation burnout, or simply not ready to drop the anchor and start "adult" life, you do not fit in the narrow matrix? Perhaps we have something for you. 😈
We are looking for a free, creative, open, honest, trustworthy, responsible, tolerant, person who loves life and adventure, sailing, meeting new people, places and cultures, and tired of mainstream life, but not afraid of hard work. Break free with the equally full of life in every aspect, curious family on a comfortable and safe yacht for the moment around the Atlantic, winter in the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and the summer in the Mediterranean.
We expect positive energy, enthusiasm, conscious desire, to live in such an unusual and generally tropical conditions and for all kinds of tasks that involve being a member of the crew of the yacht. This includes watching and educating kids, watching the boat, simple repairs, supplies, cooking, cleaning and other daily duties and chores that would be shared with us as well. Life on a sailboat is first and foremost a lot of work. Knowledge of foreign languages is very welcome.
Working command of English language, experience with children, and overall good organizational skills around normal daily home duties are a must.
Sailing experience is a plus, but not a must. However, you must be fairly certain you are not too susceptible to sea sickness.
Do you want to learn to sail, kite surfing, dive, photograph, play a tank drum, and/or didgeridoo and other more or less crazy things? Excellent. Commitment for about 10-12 months starting end of September / October 2018. Exact details of terms to be discussed. We cover all expenses aboard and the flight to the boat from your home. The return flight is covered only after at least 6 months onboard. We also provide you €150 per month spending money – NO SALARY. After mutual acceptance we start from Suriname.
About us: Two, as you can see, crazy, open, yet down-to-earth, and responsible people plus two amazing kids - 3,5 year old Julian and 5 year old Kuba. Great experience in ocean sailing and chartering cruises, unusual world view, life, interpersonal relationships, yoga, meditation, tantra, photography, music.
Introductory video is a must.
If all this resonates with your consciousness and your innermost self please apply to us with a short movie, where you talk about why you would like to experience such a thing with us, and why you think you are such a good fit to be a part of our family in these unique conditions. Tell us all about your life and work experiences, interests, emotions. Share anything you like. We want to get to know the real you. Don’t think of what we’d like to hear or see, but rather how to present the most of yourself. Tell us also about your ideas on engaging and educating kids and what kind of experience do you have in that area. Tell us what are your concerns and worries when you think about leaving “normal” life for nearly a year.
You may send us as much information about yourself, social media pages, movies, blog, your photos, etc. We are looking forward to getting it by 15th of July (email: team@sailoceans.com).
We are waiting impatiently for you and then moving on to see the rest of the world.
Let's sail away. ⛵ ⛵ ⛵ ⛵ ⛵ ⛵ ⛵
Ania, Bartek, Kuba and Julian
