43 Nautical Mile Crossing to Shikoku after 40 days in Wakayama (solo sailing)
I woke every morning for forty days to a wonderful view at Uchinoura Sea Station ( Umi no Eki) based at the Shinjo Fishermen’s Cooperative. The entire team there was very helpful and went beyond the call of duty to assist in helping getting parts, organizing diesel fuel to be delivered. I had planned to sail from there to Osaka Bay and visit my sailmaker but alas the numbers remained high and so once the parts and I renewed my permit to sail beyond 5 NM offshore, I departed for the Mystical Island of Shikoku.
