Eight months. That's how long it had been since we were last on anchor aboard VA.
Eight months of surgery, recovery, boat shows, charters, and life happening on land while our home sat in a Fijian marina waiting for us. And yes — we came back in cyclone season. And yes — there was a cyclone warning within 48 hours of arriving.

We didn't care. We were finally happy to be home.

Because the moment we dropped the hook and felt VA settle into that familiar swing at anchor — everything else fell away. This is what we came back for. This is what 30,000 nautical miles and seven years of sailing life feels like when you remember exactly why you started.
