This week, we hoist the sail and set off for some new territory in Fiji. It was time to get VA moving again, after our jaunt to France and our mission was simple day-hopping across Fiji's reef systems, aiming toward Taveuni.
It didn't go entirely to plan. One day, we lost our wind and ended up motoring into an anchorage after dark, not exactly how we like to do things out here. The next day brought gusty, unpredictable conditions that made the next big jump too risky to attempt.
So instead of pushing on, we made the call to stop where we were and wait it out.
